Three years ago I poured my heart out on a letter to someone
who was not even worth every single word I wrote.
I was young then but I have grown up.
And learned to be wise, cautious, and true.
Now, there are lots of things that I want to write to you.
But be worth everything my heart will say, would you?
Promises are meant to be broken.
It is overrated but nevertheless true.
Talk is cheap but still many hold on to a word or two.
Now before I pour my heart out to you I ask,
“Can you hold on to my words too?”
